The writings and ideas of Karl Polanyi are increasingly relevant to the growing critique of contemporary society by scholars in the humanities and social sciences, in interdisciplinary policy studies and within the policy arena itself. The references to Polanyi’s work are widespread. The work of the Institute is crucial at this time in human history.
