Message from the Dean

Welcome to Concordia University's Faculty of Arts and Science, home to some of the most innovative classroom teaching and cutting-edge research in Canada.

Our Faculty continues to transform and rejuvenate itself through exciting new programs and courses and a high-quality learning environment. This past year alone, in an effort to continue to meet the ever evolving needs of our students, we introduced the Minor in Human Rights Studies and the Minor in Law and Society. The Faculty also welcomed 20 new tenure-track professors.

Faculty Council

The Faculty Council is the legislative body within the Faculty of Arts and Science that has responsibility for good governance of the academic affairs of the Faculty. Find out more about the Faculty Council.

 

External Advisory Board

The EAB provides an external point of view on matters related to the Faculty’s short and long-term strategies and needs; provides advice and guidance to the Dean in matters such as marketing and public relations/positioning, student recruitment, external relations, international initiatives, and fundraising; serves as a bridge between the Faculty and external stake-holders in the corporate sector, public sector, professional associations, and cultural communities; and promotes the needs and goals of the Faculty externally.
