Current and potential part-time members apply for courses during the three periods in which courses are posted by filling out Appendix H of the Collective Agreement. Applicants may also wish to indicate their course preferences using the Faculty Resource Information System, FRIS (http://fris.concordia.ca). This is acceptable, but a paper submission of the Appendix H form is mandatory, and in cases where the information entered in FRIS differs from Appendix H, the paper form shall be considered to be the official application.
Please bear in mind that if an individual appears on the classification list by virtue of the fact that they taught a reserved course as a graduate student, they make a request in writing to CUPFA to be reclassified as a regular part time member in order to be considered in the regular hiring process. This can only be done once the student graduates. (See Article 10.24 of the CUPFA Collective Agreement for more details on Graduate Student teaching)

It should be noted that the Office of the Provost is now responsible for providing a copy of the PTHC recommendations to CUPFA as of the deadline dates. For late recommendations or changes in course assignments, departments shall inform CUPFA and the Office of the Provost via email.
