The Faculty’s Office of the Associate Dean, Research and Graduate Studies is responsible for assisting you with grant applications.

In particular, Michele Kaplan, Research Facilitator for the Social Sciences and Humanities and Lauren Segall, Research Facilitator for the Sciences (Natural and Health), will assist researchers in all aspects of the funding process. Michele and Lauren are based within the faculty; however they are part of the Office of Research team.

We will assist researchers in all aspects of the funding process, such as:

  • discussing application procedures for the various agencies and programs, and ensuring that all guidelines are adhered to;
  • reviewing proposals and offering recommendations upon the researcher’s request;
  • contacting funding agencies;
  • providing information for other sources of funding in Canada and international;
  • and assisting with inter-Faculty collaborations.

Associate Dean, Research and Graduate Studies

The office of the Associate Dean, Research and Graduate Studies provides internal funding in aid of individual and collaborative research, scholarly publication, conference organization and travel visiting lecturers, and requests for chairs’ support. It also supports faculty and student research activities by organizing grant production workshops and assisting in the preparation of external funding applications.
