First Time Failed

Students who learn that they have not met Acceptable Standing for the first time in their academic career at Concordia must receive permission to be readmitted to the University.

Students in the Faculty of Arts and Science have the following options:

  1. Take a year off: Students who take a year off will have to complete an application for readmission when they feel they are ready to return
  2. Apply for readmission: The complete readmission process is described in the assessment letter which each student in failed standing receives from the Office of the Registrar at the end of each academic year. However, minimally, students with extenuating circumstances must document how their situation adversely affected their academics. Supporting documents must be submitted with the Application for readmission [PDF, 301 KB].

To remain at the University, students must attain a last annual GPA of 2.00 or better at their next assessment.

Applications must be brought to Student Academic Services, 7141 Sherbrooke St. W; Room AD 202, by June 29th, 2012. Late applications will NOT be accepted.

Please note that the university will close at 1:00 pm on June 29, 2012. Your readmission application must be submitted prior 1:00 pm.

Second Time Failed

Students who have not met  Acceptable Standing for the second time in their academic career, will be required to withdraw from the University for a period of three years. Students in this situation will NOT be permitted to apply for readmission until this three year period has elapsed.
