Concentration and degree changes

Students can add or change an area of concentration (Honours, Specialization, Major or Minor) or degree.

Change of Concentration

(applying to a different Department within the same Faculty)

Students must make an appointment with the Department advisor of the program they would like to enter.

Once approved, the Departmental Advisor will forward a recommendation to the Office of the Registrar.

The program change will appear on your student record for the next academic session.

Degree Transfer

(applying to a different Degree)

Degree transfer forms are available at Birks Student Service Centre LB-185.

There is a $40 fee when submitting this form.

Students are informed of the decision by letter. If accepted, any exemptions, deficiencies, and advanced credits will be indicated in the transfer of degree letter.
